I am a Ph.D. student at the Materials engineering department, Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore. With a vision to contribute for sustainable energy, I have my research interest focused on the designing of materials for rechargeable and intercalation batteries, based on the principles of computational material science. I am interested in the thermodynamic and kinetic study of materials and perform density functional theory based calculations to predict and analyse their behavior.
I did my Masters in Chemical Engineering from Institute of Chemical Technology, Mumbai, where I completed my Master’s thesis under the tutelage of Prof. Prakash D. Vaidya. I have done my Bachelors in Chemical Engineering from Assam Engineering College, Guwahati, Assam.
Apart from researching, I love to sing, dance and enjoy life to the fullest.
I have been involved with the following publications during my tenure with the group so far.
- Critical overview of polyanionic frameworks as positive electrodes for Na-ion batteries
- Unveiling a high capacity multi-redox (Nb5+/Nb4+/Nb3+) NASICON-Nb2(PO4)3 anode for Li- and Na-ion batteries
- Stabilizing multi-electron NASICON-Na1.5V0.5Nb1.5(PO4)3 anode via structural modulation for long-life sodium-ion batteries
- Exploration of oxyfluoride frameworks as Na-ion cathodes
