I was a post-doctoral fellow in the SAI-MATerials group at the Department of Materials Engineering, Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru, from November 2023 till July 2024. My research interests focus on ab-initio modelling of materials and predicting novel properties using machine learning.
While I received my B.Tech. degree in Mechanical Engineering from Biju Patnaik University of Technology, Odisha, I received my M.Tech. degree from the Department of Metallurgical and Materials Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur. For my Ph.D. thesis, I worked on designing electrode materials for K-ion batteries in Prof. Prabeer Barpanda’s group at the Materials Research Centre of Indian Institute of Science. After my post-doctoral stint at the SAI-MATerials group, I took a break in my academic career.
Apart from research, I enjoy playing badminton and watching movies.
So far, I have been involved with the following publications with the group.
- Chimie Douce Derived Novel P2-Type Layered Oxide for Potassium-Ion Batteries
- A 3.2 V Binary Layered Oxide Cathode for Potassium-Ion Batteries
- Evaluation of P3-type layered oxides as K-ion battery cathodes
- A new high voltage alluaudite sodium battery insertion material
- First principles investigation of anionic redox in bisulfate lithium battery cathodes
