I am a PhD student in the Materials Engineering Department of the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore. My research interests include predicting and understanding materials’ electronic, magnetic, optical, and chemical properties using density functional theory calculations and machine learning. I am particularly interested in developing novel energy materials and aim to contribute to the shift into green energy through my research.
Before joining here, I completed my Bachelors in Technology in the School of Minerals, Metallurgical and Materials Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology, Bhubaneswar, where I worked under Prof. Amritendu Roy for my senior thesis project.
I enjoy watching cricket, playing chess, and jogging around the verdant IISc campus in my spare time.
So far, I have been involved in the following publications with the group.
- Stable Na+ Ion Storage via Dual Active Sites Utilization in Covalent Organic Framework-Carbon Nanotube Composite
- Synergistic effect on electrochemical performance of LiFePO4 cathodes via carbon coating and Ni2+ doping: a combined experimental and theoretical approach
- Decoding MnO2 redox chemistry from mechanistic ambiguity to design principles for aqueous Zn-ion batteries
