I was a senior undergraduate at the Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar, majoring in Materials Science and Engineering when I joined the SAI-Mat group as an intern in June, 2025. My research interests are varied and span from biology and biomaterials to understanding light-matter interactions. At the SAI-Mat I aimed to learn how ab initio computational techniques and machine learning are used to advance our understanding of material behaviour. My project involved simulating the surface structures of transition metal oxides (TMOs). I stayed in the group February, 2026, and joined a Masters program in Materials Science and Engineering at the Stanford University starting Fall 2026.
Outside of the lab, I love sports, having played basketball for my college and handball for my school. My other interest is art appreciation in museums and galleries, and I have learned four years of Hindustani classical violin.
